We made it!

Never, ever, ever buy a car on the day you move across the country. It makes for a pretty stressful day. We've gone through quite a bit of drama over this beauty, but things are looking up. It made the drive from Texas to Arizona more comfortable than the Alero would have. The drive went pretty well - except for Claire and her kicky leg - loves to kick the back of the driver's chair. Luckily, Grandmother Adams and I came up with the idea of sitting in the back with the children to help keep them occupied. We are so glad that Aaron's parent's could come to help us. We couldn't have done it without them. We we stressed to the point of exhaustion by this move and they really helped us so much.

Around the the time we got to Phoenix, the van started shaking really badly. We took it to a mechanic (AAA approved) who told us it would cost us just about as much as we had just paid for it to fix the problems. When we got it back the check engine light was on. We called the dealer and he said that he would take it back and give us the Alero back if we got a second opinion that said the same thing. We called our new bishop and he reffered us to his mechanic. We got a couple new tires on the back and the bishop's mechanic could find nothing wrong with it and pretty much accused the other shady mechanic of purposely doing things to make the check engine light come on. What a crook!

Anyway, we are so glad to be here now. We are so grateful for all the wonderful friends who helped us with packing, cleaning, babysitting, picking our parents up from the airport and opening up their homes to us, and feeding us. You know who you are. You truly are amazing! We feel so blessed and so sad that we won't see a lot of them for a long time possibly.

We are getting moved in - we had Aaron's parents and brothers and family come out from California to help us. They made the first few days here so great. Also the Elder's quorum from our new ward came to help us move in and they were done in 30 minutes! It was awesome!
Hiromi (my sister in law) put some more pictures about the move and their trip here. It was sad when they had to go. I was kind of all over the place when they were here and didn't get enough pictures. We are hoping that our family will send us some!
