All homes have two car garage and double sinks in the master bath. Rents are all withing $25 a month of each other:
Choice #1
3 bed 2 bath two-story with loft, 1700 sq feet within walking distance to small play area (not covered), Aaron's work, and library, grass (almost dead, but it's grass) back yard, kitchen with island, NO REFRIDGERATOR (have to buy ourselves - who has ever heard of that?) microhood, upstairs laundry, small bedrooms, MAYBE not so choice neighbors. Rent is the cheapest of the three. This home was probably a foreclosure not so long ago.
Choice #2
3 bed 2 bath town home, 1600 sq feet, with community pool, within 3/4 mile - walking distance to three stellar parks and splash area, nice appliances, kitchen (not eat in) new cabinetry, microhood, NO REFRIDGERATOR (but landlord can supply one, not sure that it will match) , small pantry, new Berber (is that right?) carpet, its also in the dining area, which could be tricky with little kids, downstairs laundry, ceiling fans in all rooms but one, programmable thermostat, alarm system, gated community, desert rock back yard with shrubs. This one has one of the bedrooms painted pink, so its obviously Claire's favorite. Neighborhood seems very nice. This one is $25 more per month than choice #1.
Choice #3
3 bed 2 bath home, 1450 sq feet, might have community pool, ACROSS the street from stellar park with splash area and rec center, and walking and biking trails, duck pond, new carpet, kitchen has a REFRIDGERATOR! no microhood, and one of those super SHALLOW SINKs with no sprayers that I HATE! Nice big pantry, laundry is in the hall way leading to the kids bedrooms, the master suite is HUGE, and the second bedroom is huge. Third bedroom is right off the great room, and could double as a playroom/office if I can get the kids to share. This neighborhood also seem very nice. This one is $15 a month more than choice #2.
We are leaning towards choice #3 if we can get a new sink or put one in ourselves and get a break on the rent. What do you think?

I would lean towards #3. It would be so awesome to be across the street from such fun stuff and who wants to buy a fridge when you are renting.
Definitely number 3. While it may be smaller and have a 'bad' sink, its rooms seem bigger and your outdoor activities will be much more convenient. Good luck :-)
Thanks ladies. We did decide on number three, but then they wanted a bunch of non refundable fees to get into the house. We are still looking. Can you believe it?! Only two weeks to go and we still don't have a place to live.
I am torn between choice two and three. Whoa.... just realized the decision has been made--- oh lame! Nonrefundable fees are lame. What happened with choice #2? Good luck!
