We started our fourth at the Round Rock Frontier Day parade. They had cowboys start off the parade shooting off loud guns. I didn't get any pictures of that because I was trying to console the children - it was way too loud for them to enjoy. But Claire enjoyed all the candy and the beads the paraders were throwing to the kids. It was kind of like a Halloween parade - we should have brought a bag for all the candy.

We had a good time. It was 10 am and already in the 90's. We were pouring with sweat, but it was a good time.
Baby Noel really enjoyed himself making faces at Mommy and the crowd!
Grandpa Daniels is visiting us from Oklahoma. He got here around lunchtime. We tried to go see fireworks at Old Settlers park, but the kids were tired and we couldn't get close enough to the band to hear the "1812 Overture". That was kind of a bust... we went home during the fireworks show, but we had a nice walk. It cooled down and there was a nice breeze outside.
Claire and the family did get to enjoy some nice fireworks at the Tietjen's party Thursday night. Noel didn't enjoy them so much. But we had a good time. Since they live on a cul-de-sac they were able to fire 'em off in the street and they were big enough to compare with the professionals as far as we're concerned. Thanks for having us over, Tietjen family. We had a great time!

Looks like fun guys. Did they throw brisket samples too or just candy and beads?, if brisket was thrown I might look to live in Texas after school is over :)
