We love living in Phoenix. We love our home, especially. We love our friends and assignments at church. We love being so close to downtown, shopping, hiking, to the park and the library. We don't love our water bill, not having access to a pool, and we don't like commutes. That is why, when our landlord called us today and said that she will NOT renew our lease and that she is moving back into the house, we are torn. So I have two questions:
1. Should we try to find a home in central Phoenix (close to school) until next May or look in Peoria (close to work) where Aaron will be interning for the rest of our time here?
2. Should we try to find another home, or look for a townhome or apartment so we can have access to a pool and possibly save money?
Help!

I can totally weigh in on your dilemma but we are asking ourselves the same exact questions too:-)
I would say find a condo or townhome. With you and Aaron in school it would probably be nice to not have outside work or the extra upkeep of a home. Having a home and a yard is nice but when you are super busy it can be more of a burden then a help with the kiddos.
Closer to Dad is always my preference too.
my sister lives in peoria and absolutely loves it! she has an amazing ward and a great group of friends. i say go for it! :) say hello to my sis when you get there. good luck!
humm, pools are good and saving money is good. Find a townhome in Peoria.
I would agree with saving money by finding a townhome near wherever you will both be most of the time. If you will be spending more time at the school than work then live closer to the school. Gas and commutes just cost more money in the long run. Good Luck!
Well, you know what I will say -- STAY IN OUR WARD! Find a townhome with a pool and a grassy area, but not one you have to water and mow. It really is nice to be close to freeways, parks, hiking, libraries etc.
(having said that -- I absolutely hate commuting and we would do anything to avoid it)
Move in next door to me! It's very nice. She has put in granite countertops and nice cabinets, tile throughout. There is a pool. Same ward, etc!!
